Jessica managed a project before she was certified to manage one. Between April and September 2022, during her national service year in Lagos, she ran the revamping of the toilet facilities at FESTAC Girls' Senior Secondary School end to end, handling procurement, stakeholder engagement and on-site implementation, and was formally commended by the school principal when it was finished. The certification came after. She took the Certified Practitioner in Project Management programme at the Excellenter Institute and LearnPlace Management Academy in Freiburg from September 2022 to July 2023, finishing with an overall score of 91 per cent against an ISO 21502-aligned syllabus. Sitting that course while already carrying operational responsibility as co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Célcic Limited in Lagos gave the framework something concrete to attach to, wherein scheduling, risk and stakeholder handling were not abstractions but the week's actual problems. She uses it now in a research setting rather than a commercial one. Structured planning is what lets the G.E.R.N. thesis phase and a concurrent statistics post at the Institute for Medical Biometry and Statistics both run since August 2025 without either being dropped. MS Project sits in her listed toolset alongside R, VBA and SigmaPlot.
