Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing→

Susceptibility testing is what the B.Sc. project was named for. Antibiotic Sensitivity Assessment of Bacteria Isolates from Poultry Feed Sold in Enugu Metropolis, submitted in July 2021, turned on this step. The twenty-four isolates Jessica had recovered and identified were each assessed for sensitivity to antibiotics. Everything upstream existed to make that assessment mean something. Sampling that was not aseptic, or an identification that was wrong, would have produced susceptibility data that looked perfectly clean and meant nothing at all. She carried the same logic into the Food Safety Control Unit at Amuwo-Odofin in Lagos through 2022, where microbiological quality control ran against FDA, USDA and ISO requirements. Regulatory work makes that discipline explicit rather than optional. It is the clearest line between her microbiology training and the assay discipline she works to now.
