AI Model Training & Evaluation

Alongside her research, Jessica takes on contract work training and evaluating artificial-intelligence models, spanning video, image, document, data and word-level annotation for platforms including Mercor and Micro1. The work involves producing high-quality labelled data and assessing model outputs against defined rubrics, tasks that reward precision, consistency and clear judgement. It has given her a practical, working familiarity with how machine-learning systems are built and evaluated, complementing the predictive-modelling side of her scientific interests. This exposure to applied AI reinforces the computational half of her profile, bridging hands-on annotation with her broader work in machine learning and bioinformatics.
