Microbiologist (QC/QA), SIWES Industrial Internship

Assisted in microbiological testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, performing microbial enumeration and identification using standard methods and maintaining detailed laboratory documentation. Supported the water-quality section of the QC laboratory, testing purified water, water for injection (WFI), and environmental monitoring samples, and assisted with the maintenance and calibration of associated laboratory equipment. Participated in process audits, inspections, and validations against Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements; assisted in investigating deviations, non-conformances, and Out-of-Specification (OOS) results, proposing corrective and preventive actions; and prepared documentation and summary reports for internal review and regulatory submissions.
